Director Quentin Tarantino, 63, has confirmed he has written the script for his tenth and reportedly final film. However, he has no immediate plans to begin production, opting instead to focus on other projects.

In an interview with Graham Norton on his British talk show, Tarantino revealed that while he is satisfied with the completed screenplay, he intends to first stage a play and spend time with his family before returning to filmmaking. "I wrote a script that I really love, but I want to do the play first and see who I am after that. Then I'll go back to spend time with my family, live a little, and then I'll see what I want to do," he stated.

The play Tarantino refers to is "The Popinjay Cavalier," a period adventure comedy scheduled to premiere in London's West End in March 2027, starring Sacha Baron Cohen. Tarantino, who will also direct the stage production, explained that the work was initially conceived as a film script but was later deemed more suitable for the stage.

Tarantino's last film was "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" in 2019, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie. He had previously shelved "The Movie Critic," which was intended to be his tenth film. Separately, Tarantino wrote a script for a sequel focusing on Brad Pitt's character Cliff Booth, with David Fincher set to direct.

Tarantino, who is married to Daniella Pick, divides his time between Israel and the United States. It appears that for now, the director who promised to retire after ten films prefers to enjoy life before concluding his cinematic career.
