Israeli TV presenter and media personality Maayan Adam is set to return to the studio for her show "Chaim and Maayan" on Keshet 12 this Friday, just one week after giving birth to her son. Adam announced her intention during a live phone call from the maternity ward to her co-host, Haim Etgar, who was in the studio. She expressed how much she missed working and her colleagues, stating that despite being told she was "crazy" for considering such a quick return, it would only involve sitting in the studio for two hours. Etgar confirmed her spot was reserved, expressing surprise at her swift return.
Adam, who balances social media activity, business ventures, and her weekly television hosting duties, appears to maintain flexible boundaries between her personal and professional life. This rapid return to work aligns with her characteristic continuous engagement. The birth of her son, her third child and the first with partner Yuval Tzelner, was followed by a marriage proposal from Tzelner in the delivery room. Adam humorously recounted the event, describing it as receiving "two diamonds in one night" for giving birth.
She also shared details about her challenging labor, which included 12 hours of contractions without an epidural, using only a TENS machine. Adam noted the symbolic timing of the birth, which occurred on October 16th, the same day Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was eliminated. Her original due date was October 7th, the date her sister Meital Adam was murdered at the Nova festival. Adam felt the birth date held significance, representing revival and continuity. The baby's name, reportedly based on a rare biblical word not currently registered in the population registry, will be officially revealed at the circumcision ceremony.
