Hapoel Kiryat Shmona will host Maccabi Netanya on Saturday at 19:15, aiming to break a streak of four consecutive losses. The team from northern Israel is coming off a 3-1 defeat to Hapoel Tel Aviv last week, having conceded 12 goals in their last four matches. Recognizing the need for defensive improvement, the team's focus is on tightening their defense and achieving a clean sheet to secure their first points since late August.
Amidst a challenging start to the season, coach שי ברדה and his staff have been working to motivate the players. ברדה's message to his squad is a call for a "tougher, more responsible team that doesn't just think about attack." The coach faces several lineup decisions for the upcoming match, with rotations occurring throughout the week. A final decision on the starting eleven is expected after the final training session.
One of the key decisions involves the new foreign striker, אלכסנדרו פופ, who debuted last week in place of ניב גבאי and is still seeking his first goal for Kiryat Shmona.
