Despite a four-game winless streak, Maccabi Netanya is preparing to host Hapoel Kiryat Shmona on Saturday, aiming to return to winning ways. Coach Roni Levy acknowledged the team's recent results have been subpar but expressed optimism about their playing level and team strength. He believes that continued hard work and adherence to their current approach will lead to solutions and better times, emphasizing that "teamwork" is the central key to success.
Player Dolev Haziza shared his positive experience at the club, feeling at home and part of a supportive locker room. He believes the team has a strong squad and just needs to "connect" further to achieve success. Haziza surprisingly suggested that the team should "continue on the same path" despite the slump, attributing recent struggles partly to bad luck, such as conceding a goal on the opponent's only shot on target in their last match against Hapoel Petah Tikva. He believes playing well is key and that scoring first will boost confidence and lead to victories.
Haziza stated that the team is focusing on scoring first to build confidence, asserting that they are working well and possess one of the best squads in the league. He is confident that wins will come once the team gains more self-belief in their abilities.
