The "Dream Lottery" of the organization "Am Israel Chai" has launched its ninth consecutive draw, offering luxury apartments. Last year's winner, Aryeh Loriya, a 22-year-old married yeshiva student from New York, reacted to winning a Jerusalem apartment with remarkable composure. Instead of an outburst of joy or shock, Loriya, upon receiving the news, chose to recite Psalm 100, "A Psalm of Thanksgiving," word for word. This act of gratitude surprised those present and marked a pivotal moment in his life.
Following his win, Loriya decided to immigrate to Israel and settle in Jerusalem. He described his feelings as "ecstatic" and stated that his wife was "even happier." He admitted he hadn't expected to win, emphasizing how the phone call changed his life and provided him with an apartment.
The current "Dream Lottery" features a luxury apartment in Jerusalem with design upgrades. Additionally, bonus draws for $15,000 in cash will occur, and a new "Super Ticket" option allows winners to receive the apartment furnished with $25,000 worth of goods for an additional 70 shekels on the entire order, even when purchasing 100 tickets.
