Police in Petah Tikva are investigating a serious incident in which six toddlers, all around two years old, were found wandering unsupervised outside their daycare center on Sunday. The first group of three children was spotted on the street near the "Yaldei Hemmed" daycare in the Neve Gan neighborhood, riding toy cars. Shortly after, a resident reported seeing three more toddlers, two walking and one on a ride-on toy, who had managed to cross a road and travel about a kilometer from the facility.

According to local media, the mother of one child stated she had brought her son to the daycare and noticed a dirty floor. After asking staff to clean it, she left. Fifteen minutes later, the daycare owner called her to report her child was missing. The search for the children lasted less than 30 minutes, and they were found and gathered thanks to the vigilance of passersby. Police arrived at the scene and ensured the children were returned to their parents.

Investigators began examining the circumstances of the incident, interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, and using technical means. As part of the investigation, two female daycare employees, residents of Petah Tikva aged approximately 40 and 50, were detained for questioning on Monday. Both were released with restrictions after their interrogation.
