Captain Eliab Chaim Tzfalamus, a 21-year-old from Haifa, was killed last Thursday in southern Lebanon when an IDF vehicle overturned. Before his death, Tzfalamus had purchased tickets for himself and his girlfriend, Inbar, to attend a performance by comedian Guy Hochman. He had written to Inbar, "I bought us tickets. Hoping I’ll get home, hahaha," referring to the possibility of leaving his military duties to attend.

Following Inbar sharing this message with Hochman, the comedian announced that the fallen officer's seat would be reserved at the show. Hochman shared the exchange, expressing his heartbreak. "My heart is shattered. Captain Eliab Chaim Tzfalamus fell this week in Lebanon and this is what his girlfriend Inbar just sent me. The romantic engineering officer surprised her again with tickets to my show. He will no longer arrive," Hochman wrote.

Hochman stated that Tzfalamus's seat would remain reserved in his memory, with flowers and an engineering corps flag placed there. "We will remember and commemorate," he added, sending condolences to Tzfalamus's family and his unit, Combat Engineering Battalion 603 of the 7th Brigade.

Tzfalamus, an engineering officer, was serving in southern Lebanon's Litani area when the Humvee he was traveling in overturned. He was killed, and three other soldiers were lightly injured and evacuated for medical treatment.
