Chana Ita Weinstein, a resident of Jerusalem, passed away peacefully at the age of 102. Born in 1924 to Moshe Mordechai and Rivka Schwartz, who were associated with the Bayan-Rozhin Hasidic community and lived in Tiberias before moving to Jerusalem, Weinstein lived a long life marked by family and religious devotion.

Her father, Moshe Mordechai Schwartz, worked for the General Committee and was known as the "Mukhtar" or headman of the Knesset neighborhood. Weinstein later married David Shalom Weinstein, who worked for the Electric Company. The couple initially lived in the Katamon neighborhood before moving to the Knesset B neighborhood to be closer to her parents. Her husband was deeply religious, praying daily and studying Torah after work.

After 14 years of marriage, the couple was blessed with their only daughter, following a blessing from prominent rabbis, including the Chazon Ish. Her husband passed away at the age of 55 in 1980, leaving her a widow for 47 years. She raised their daughter alone, marrying her off at age 19.

In 1983, her daughter married Rabbi Melchiel Slonimsky, who studied at Hebron Yeshiva and later Mir Yeshiva. Weinstein actively supported her daughter's family throughout her life. Approximately 17 years ago, she moved in with her daughter in the Ramot neighborhood, where she was lovingly cared for until her passing.

Weinstein passed away on the evening after Sukkot, having lived a full life. She was buried on the intermediate days of the holiday next to her husband on Har HaMenuchot. She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom follow the path of Torah.
