Man Indicted for Raping Wife, Assaulting Her and Daughter

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against a resident of the Sharon region for raping his wife, assaulting her on multiple occasions, assaulting their minor daughter, and threatening their lives. The indictment, filed by prosecutor Amir Elron of the Haifa District Prosecutor's Office (Criminal), details that the defendant attacked his wife and their minor daughter on several occasions. In one incident, following an argument about a pair of shoes she purchased, the defendant violently struck his wife with the shoes inside their car. The indictment further states that in another incident, the defendant attacked his daughter, approximately nine years old, hitting her with various objects including a glass vase swung over her head, a slipper, and a set of keys. The defendant also threatened to run over his wife and daughter, and even threatened to bury his wife alive and burn her with their daughters. Additionally, the indictment reveals that on the night following the violence, the defendant demanded his wife enter the bedroom with him, where he forcibly stripped and raped her despite her resistance. A bail request highlighted the defendant's dangerousness and his objectifying and degrading treatment of the victim. The complainant described in her testimony that the defendant told her he brought her to his home 'for this [sex] and to clean.' This statement, along with the forced sexual intercourse and ongoing violence, indicates the defendant viewed the victim as an object for his needs, a behavior that violates fundamental societal values and her bodily autonomy.
