Israeli Man Indicted for Raping Wife, Abusing Daughter, and Death Threats

The Israeli Public Prosecution has filed an indictment against a man from the Sharon region at the Central District Court in Haifa. The charges include raping his wife on multiple occasions, assaulting their minor daughter, and threatening both with death, according to a prosecution statement. The indictment, presented by prosecutor Amir Alron, details a series of alleged incidents, including the man physically assaulting his wife with a shoe during an argument over a purchase while they were in a car. Their daughter, approximately nine years old, was reportedly subjected to beatings, kicking, and threats, including having a glass vase waved over her head. The charges also encompass threats to run over his wife and daughter, and to bury and burn his wife along with their daughters. The indictment further states that on the night following one of the violent incidents, the accused allegedly forced himself upon his wife in their bedroom despite her resistance, after removing her clothes. In its request to detain the suspect, the prosecution highlighted the severity of the alleged acts, citing the wife's testimony about his demeaning treatment and forced sexual relations, which it deemed a violation of her autonomy and bodily integrity.
