Reservist killed, another soldier wounded in vehicle rollover in southern Lebanon
The IDF said it has cleared for publication that Master Sgt. (res.) Basel Suweid, 32, from Peki'in, a driver in the 75th Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade, was killed during operational activity in southern Lebanon.
According to the military, Suweid died in a vehicle rollover described as an operational accident. The incident happened yesterday, Wednesday, at about 10:50 p.m. in the Ra's al-Tha'lth area of southern Lebanon, when a vehicle belonging to the Golani Brigade combat team overturned.
One additional IDF soldier was moderately wounded in the same incident. He was evacuated to a hospital for treatment, and his family was notified.
In the same event, Suweid was killed and another soldier was injured, the IDF said, while the circumstances of the rollover were not further detailed in the announcement.
