The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike earlier this week in the Gaza City area, eliminating Muhammad Mohsen Nemer Yazgi, a commander in the Shati Battalion of Hamas. According to the IDF spokesperson, Yazgi was involved in holding Israeli hostages during the war, including Emily Damari, Romi Gonen, and Matan Angrest, within the Gaza City Brigade's area of operation.

In a separate strike two days prior in the Jabalia area, Muhammad Fuzi Muhammad Awad Gamal, a terrorist from Hamas's military wing's Daraj Tuffah Battalion, was killed. The IDF stated that both terrorists had recently been advancing terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and were working to restore Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire.

Both terrorists were eliminated by air to remove the threat they posed, the IDF spokesperson reported. The military has now confirmed the successful elimination of both individuals in targeted strikes. Forces under the Southern Command continue to operate in the area as per agreements, with the IDF emphasizing its ongoing commitment to neutralizing any immediate threats.
