The IDF announced this week the elimination of a Hamas commander in the Gaza City area who was involved in holding hostages during the war, including Emily Damari, Romi Gonen, and Matan Angrest.

Additionally, the IDF reported the elimination of another Hamas operative, Muhammad Fuzi Muhammad Awad Gamal, from the Daraj Tufah Battalion, in an airstrike in the Zabra area two days prior.

According to the IDF, both militants had recently been advancing terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians and working to restore Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire. The strikes were carried out from the air to neutralize the threat they posed.
