Christian Eriksen collapses during match again, Denmark says he is conscious

Danish national team player Christian Eriksen collapsed today, Sunday, during a warm-up match for the national team and was taken to hospital for treatment. The Danish Football Association reassured after the dramatic incident and said that Eriksen was "conscious and in reasonable condition considering the circumstances."

The friendly match, held in the city of Odense in Denmark, was stopped when the home team was leading Ukraine 2:1. On June 12, 2021, as part of Euro 2020, Eriksen collapsed during his team’s opening match against Finland in the 42nd minute. Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest, was treated for 20 minutes on the pitch and was even resuscitated, before being taken to hospital. After the severe incident, he was forced to miss the pitches for 10 months.
