Hapoel Tel Aviv ended its 2025/2026 season in disappointment on June 24, 2026, after losing 83:79 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in Game 4, which sealed the series 3:1.
Immediately after the loss, forward Tomer Ginat spoke about the pain of falling short of the title. “It hurts, but what can we do. We move on,” he said. “We wanted to win the championship, and obviously when you want to win the championship you have to get past that. Too bad. Every year it is something different. I do not have answers right now.”
Ginat also said he believes a championship will come eventually. “The championship will come and it will be sweeter when it comes. Apparently we need to go through a certain path,” he said.
Asked about his future, Ginat repeated that he remains bound to Hapoel Tel Aviv. “I have a contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, I am a player under contract,” he said. When pressed again on whether he will be a Hapoel Tel Aviv player next season, he answered, “As far as Tomer Ginat is concerned, I am a player under contract.”
