Hapoel Tel Aviv ended its 2025/26 season with heavy disappointment on June 24, after losing 83-79 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in Game 4 and falling 3-1 in the series. Immediately after the game, forward Tomer Ginat addressed the defeat and his future.
“It hurts, but what can we do? We move on,” Ginat said. He added that the team had wanted the championship, and “of course when you want to win the title you have to get through them.” Referring to the loss, he said, “That’s frustrating. Every year it is something else. I do not have answers right now.”
Ginat also spoke about the club’s future ambitions, saying, “The championship will come, and it will be sweeter when it does. Apparently we need to go through a certain path.” When asked about his own plans, he made clear that he is under contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
“I have a contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, I am a player under contract,” he said. Pressed again on whether he would be with the club next season, he repeated, “From Tomer Ginat’s point of view, I am a player under contract.”
