A Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court extended by one day the detention of David Ezra, who is suspected of assaulting three women by knocking them to the ground in the city’s Florentin neighborhood. The case concerns separate incidents involving women walking in the street.
According to the suspicion, Ezra attacked the women in three different cases, two of them on June 18 and another in May. The police allegation is that the encounters were deliberate assaults, not accidents.
During the hearing, Ezra maintained his version of events, saying the incidents were accidental collisions rather than intentional attacks. The court did not accept an immediate release and instead ordered the detention to continue for another day.
