Fresh off promotion to the Israeli Premier League, Hapoel Ramat Gan/Givatayim continued building for the 2026/27 season on Tuesday by announcing two new signings. The club brought in 22-year-old striker Idan Baranes on loan from Hapoel Tel Aviv until the end of the season.
Baranes arrived at Hapoel Tel Aviv after being purchased from Maccabi Netanya, and he spent last season on loan at Ironi Tiberias. Hapoel also added 22-year-old winger Amit Tzur, who came through Maccabi Tel Aviv’s youth system and was a member of Israel’s youth national team. Tzur played for Hapoel Rishon LeZion last season and signed for one year with an option for another.
Baranes said he was coming in determined to help the club deliver a season that would make its supporters proud. He added that he was very impressed by the club’s new rebuilding effort and was already looking forward to his first training session and hearing the red fans chant his name. Tzur said he was excited to join a new project and had watched the club’s fans last season, adding that he would now have them behind him and was arriving “hungrier than ever” to bring success and achievements.
