Hapoel Ramat Gan Negotiates to Sign Experienced Winger Matan Hozez
With the Israeli Premier League season just 11 days away, Hapoel Ramat Gan is actively working to strengthen its squad. The club, recently promoted from the National League, aims to add experienced players under head coach Massai Dago. Their main target is 29-year-old winger Matan Hozez, who recently ended his tenure with Hapoel Jerusalem. Hozez is also reportedly sought after by M.S. Ashdod from the National League.
Hozez, a product of Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth system, won the Israeli championship in the 2019/20 season and the State Cup the following year with the club. Throughout his career, he has been loaned to several teams including Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla, Hapoel Ashkelon, Bnei Yehuda, Hapoel Haifa, and spent the last three seasons at Hapoel Jerusalem. Alongside early summer signing Maksim Plakuschenko, Ramat Gan hopes Hozez will be a significant contributor as they aim to establish themselves in the top division this season.
