Hapoel Ramat Gan Negotiates to Sign Experienced Winger Matan Hozez
With the Israeli Premier League season just 11 days away, Hapoel Ramat Gan is actively working to strengthen its squad. The club, recently promoted from the National League, aims to add experienced players under head coach Massai Dago. Their primary target is 29-year-old winger Matan Hozez, who recently ended his stint with Hapoel Jerusalem. Hozez is also reportedly sought after by M.S. Ashdod from the National League.
Alongside Maxim Plakuschenko, who signed earlier this summer, Ramat Gan is looking to bring in another key player to help establish the team in the top division. Hozez developed in Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth system, winning the championship in 2019/20 and the cup the following year. Throughout his career, he has been loaned to several clubs including Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla, Hapoel Ashkelon, Bnei Yehuda, Hapoel Haifa, and spent the last three seasons at Hapoel Jerusalem.
The negotiations highlight Ramat Gan's intent to combine youth with experience as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
