Belz Hasidic Rebbe Holds Special Gathering for Thousands of Yeshiva Students

Thousands of students from large yeshivas participated in a unique "tish" (Hasidic gathering with the Rebbe) held in the central sukkah of the Belz Hasidut in Jerusalem. The event was organized to address overcrowding issues that prevent many young students from having direct access to the Rebbe during regular gatherings.

Due to the large crowds that fill the halls during typical events, many students from both smaller and larger yeshivas struggle to find a place to sit or even see the Rebbe up close. To provide a focused experience for the younger generation, the Hasidic leadership arranged for a massive sukkah to be erected. Entry was carefully managed, with each student receiving a designated seating assignment based on their age group and yeshiva, ensuring an orderly and respectful atmosphere.

Technically, the event also differed from standard tishes. Students themselves served food at the tables, and a choir composed of yeshiva students led the singing. The gathering aimed to offer a more intimate and accessible experience for the young men of the community.
