Rebbe Leads Six-Hour Hasidic Gathering, Hundreds Attend
Hundreds of students from the Rachmistrivka Hasidic dynasty participated in a lengthy religious gathering led by their Rebbe in Jerusalem on Monday evening. The event, a "Kabbalat Panim" (welcoming the leader) and "Yoma Arikta" (long day) ceremony, took place in the large sukkah at the courtyard of the dynasty's main study hall.
The Rebbe conducted his "tish" (a Hasidic table gathering with prayer, song, and discourse) for six consecutive hours. During this time, he delivered a two-and-a-half-hour discourse on the significance of the holiday and its commandments, encouraging the students in their religious devotion.
Due to the large crowd, one side of the "parnatzes" (a raised platform or section for attendees) had to be set up outside the sukkah. The gathering concluded with the students receiving the Rebbe's holiday blessings.
