Police Arrest 20-Year-Old ATV Rider After Dangerous Escape Near Route 65

Tactical Border Police motorcycle officers arrested a 20-year-old ATV rider from Ar'ara on Sunday after he fled a police stop, ran a red light, and nearly caused a crash. The police said the incident happened during enforcement activity near the Ar'ara junction on Route 65, where officers spotted two ATVs without license plates.

According to police, both riders were seen committing life-threatening traffic violations, including riding on one wheel while moving. When officers signaled them to stop, one rider complied and was detained for inspection, while the second rider tried to escape.

During the pursuit, police said the suspect crossed an intersection against a red light and came close to causing a traffic accident. The force said his conduct created a real danger to human life. After the chase continued, the tactical motorcycle unit managed to subdue and arrest him.

The suspect was taken to the Tiron police station for questioning, and a criminal case was opened against him because of the seriousness of the alleged offenses. Police also suspended his driving license for 30 days and impounded the ATV for 30 days.
