Holon Basketball Team Signs New Players, Prepares for Season Opener
Two new foreign players for the Hapoel Holon basketball team, Leicester "Lester" Medford and Skylar Weeks, have arrived in Israel and are scheduled to undergo medical examinations on Wednesday. Medford and Weeks are expected to join the team for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, two current players, Ribaldo Soares and Sam Iorio, will miss Wednesday's ranking game against Hapoel Eilat in the Winner Cup due to minor injuries. Soares is sidelined with groin sensitivity, and Iorio has a leg contusion. Both are expected to return to full activity within days.
Another player, Caldwell Harris, missed the last two practices due to illness but may still play against Eilat. Hapoel Holon secured their spot in the ranking game by defeating Ramat Gan 83-80 in their previous match.
The team is set to begin its Israeli Basketball Premier League season on October 11th against Hapoel Jerusalem, followed by games against Eilat and Beersheba.
