Spotify Users Worldwide Report Widespread Service Outages
Hundreds of thousands of Spotify users globally are experiencing significant disruptions to the music streaming service, according to data from Downdetector. The issues, which began around 4:45 PM Israel time and remain unresolved, primarily involve problems with logging in and searching for music. Reports of the outages have originated from 173 countries, with the United States accounting for approximately 46% of the affected users. Major internet and mobile providers in the US have also reported issues.
Spotify has acknowledged the problems, stating on its official status page, "We are aware of some issues and are looking into them." The exact cause of the widespread malfunction is currently unknown. The majority of user complaints, around 58%, relate to issues within the application itself, while an additional 21% reported difficulties with music streaming.
