Torah Scroll Dedicated in Samaria to Honor Fallen IDF Soldier

A Torah scroll was dedicated in the settlement of Tzufim in Samaria, in memory of fallen Israel Defense Forces soldier Ran Guili and Simcha Beerel Belsky. The scroll was donated by the Belsky family from the United States.

Ran Guili, a sergeant major in the Yasam (special patrol unit), was killed in action. The dedication ceremony was attended by Guili's parents, Talik and Itzik Guili, head of the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan, the donors, and local residents.

Dagan addressed Guili's parents, expressing gratitude for honoring the community with the memory of their son and for their contribution to the settlement movement. He pledged to continue building in Samaria, stating, "We will build more settlements, and we will lift our heads, and we will rejoice. And we will rejoice in our Torah, and rejoice in our land, and rejoice in this people."

Talik Guili shared her emotional experience, saying, "I really feel like I am marrying off my son now." She thanked the community for their embrace and expressed pride in the strength of the Jewish people.

Sarah Belsky, one of the donors, spoke of the great honor of sharing the occasion with the Guili family and described the profound pain of loss. She noted that Guili, like her son, was a "hidden righteous one" who saved lives. Dov Shlomovitz, chairman of the Tzufim settlement secretariat, called the dedication a great merit for the community and thanked all involved, emphasizing the concept of "in their death they commanded us life."
