Netanyahu Sues Journalists Over Claims of Pre-Oct. 7 Warning
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has filed defamation lawsuits against several senior journalists over claims that he received a warning before the October 7th Hamas attacks. The Likud party announced the lawsuits, stating that the allegations are "complete lies."
In a statement, the Likud party asserted that "The Emirates denied this, the Egyptians denied this, this is a complete lie. It is no coincidence that these lies are being spread now on the eve of elections by political rivals and hostile foreign elements."
The party further alleged that the goal of spreading these "lies" is to topple the right-wing government led by Netanyahu and establish a "left-wing government of Arab parties" led by figures like Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, Avigdor Lieberman, and Naftali Bennett, which would "establish a Palestinian state."
The Likud concluded by framing the upcoming election as a choice between "right-wing or Palestine," urging supporters of the right-wing to vote for Netanyahu and the Likud party.
