Idan David Removed From Ayalon Highways Board After Appointment Rejection

The Government Companies Authority has removed Idan David from his position as a director at Ayalon Highways, days after a committee rejected his appointment as the company's board chairman. The decision took immediate effect.

In a letter to David, Authority Director Roi Kahlon stated that during his appointment process for chairman, David provided incomplete, inaccurate, and untrue material information, raising serious doubts about the credibility of documents he submitted. The Authority concluded that this conduct was incompatible with the integrity and honesty required of a director in a government company. The removal was executed under the Government Companies Law, which allows the Authority to dismiss a director found to be unfit for their role, a measure reserved for rare and serious cases.

Ayalon Highways was officially notified of David's departure. The situation surrounding Idan David came to light following an investigative report by Yossi Mizrahi on Channel 12, which raised significant questions about the veracity of information David provided to the Government Companies Authority regarding his professional experience and the actual scope of companies he claimed to be involved with.

The letter to David also detailed the internal processes within the Government Companies Authority following Channel 12's inquiry prior to the report's publication. According to the letter, the Authority discovered that the misleading information was also included in David's application to become a director at the company.
