Givat Shmuel Hosts Sukkot Craft Event for New Immigrant Children

Dozens of children from new immigrant families in Givat Shmuel participated last week in a festive and unifying craft activity in preparation for the Sukkot holiday. The event, held at the "Family Center," featured a colorful workshop where participants designed, cut, and decorated elaborate and original boxes for the etrog, a citrus fruit used in Sukkot rituals.

The initiative was a collaboration between the Givat Shmuel Municipality's Absorption Department and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration. It was spearheaded by City Council member David Hazut, who oversees absorption and immigration affairs, and led by municipal immigrant coordinator Celine Ayim.

The Givat Shmuel Municipality emphasized its ongoing commitment to supporting immigrant families throughout the year and fostering an inclusive community that integrates holiday traditions with the absorption process in the city. City officials extended Sukkot greetings to the immigrant families and all residents, wishing them a holiday filled with partnership and unity.
