Israel Gears Up for Sukkot 2026 with Diverse Family Activities
Israel is preparing to celebrate Sukkot 2026 with a wide array of family-friendly activities, events, and attractions across the country. From interactive historical games and nature tours to creative workshops and musical performances, there are options for all ages.
The Israel Nature and Parks Authority is offering special Sukkot activities in national parks and nature reserves, including a festival in Mitzpe Ramon, sand sculpting competitions at Palmachim Beach, and Crusader-themed events at Apollonia. Many sites will also feature kosher sukkahs for visitors.
The Society for the Protection of Nature is providing guided nature experiences, such as hikes in streams and springs, night safaris in the Lower Galilee, and explorations of Ramon Crater. The Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites, in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage, is organizing events at dozens of heritage sites nationwide, with some activities in the north costing only 10 NIS.
Shopping malls like Ofer Malls and BIG centers are hosting free events, including craft activities, play areas, inflatable attractions, and shows. The KKL-JNF is organizing a "Dreams of Sukkot" festival in Ben Shemen Forest, featuring olive pressing, nature workshops, and children's entertainment.
Other notable events include the Acre International Festival of Other Theater, offering free street performances, circus acts, and dance in the Old City; activities at the Hermon ski resort with guided tours and extreme rides; and a "TechnoChef" science and culinary experience in Hadera. Various museums, including the National Museum of Science, Technology and Space in Haifa and the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv, are also offering special holiday programming.
