Opposition Parties Form Joint Teams for Upcoming Election

Following a meeting between key opposition leaders, parties comprising the "Change Bloc" announced the establishment of three joint working teams tasked with preparing for the upcoming elections. The teams will focus on increasing voter turnout, formulating foundational principles for a future government, and coordinating media strategy.

The announcement came after a gathering of leaders including Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid, Avigdor Lieberman, and Yair Golan. In a joint statement, the parties, identified as Yesh Atid, Together, Yisrael Beiteinu, and HaDemocratim, emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming vote, stating that Israeli citizens will decide the nation's direction for years to come.

The parties expressed a commitment to forming a stable, Zionist, and state-oriented government, aiming to unite the country and restore security, prosperity, and hope to its citizens after a period of internal division and distrust. The working teams are designed to strengthen cooperation and joint preparation for electoral victory and government formation.

Specific areas of focus for the teams include ensuring election day integrity, developing a platform for the first 100 days of a new government, and combating misinformation and smear campaigns. Policy issues such as equal burden-sharing in military service, establishing a state commission of inquiry, limiting prime ministerial terms, and advancing a constitution were also mentioned.

Members of these teams include serving Knesset members, prominent candidates, spokespeople, and senior advisors from the participating parties. The teams have reportedly begun their work immediately, aiming to consolidate efforts for victory and the swift implementation of necessary steps by the next government.
