Israeli Opposition Parties Form Joint Working Teams for Election Victory

Several Israeli opposition parties, collectively known as the "Change Bloc," announced the establishment of three joint working teams following a meeting of their leaders. The teams are tasked with coordinating efforts for the upcoming elections, aiming to increase voter turnout, formulate foundational principles for a future government, and manage unified media messaging.

The announcement came after a meeting between leaders including Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid, Avigdor Lieberman, and Yair Golan. The parties, identified as Yesh Atid, Together, Israel Beiteinu, and Democrats, emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming election in determining Israel's future direction.

In a joint statement, the parties declared their responsibility to form a stable, Zionist, and state-oriented government after years of internal division, aiming to restore security, prosperity, and hope to Israelis. The working teams will focus on election day preparations, ensuring election integrity, developing a platform for the first 100 days of a potential government, and combating misinformation and smear campaigns.

Specific policy areas to be addressed include equal burden-sharing in military service, establishing a state commission of inquiry, limiting the prime minister's tenure, and advancing a constitution. The teams comprise serving Knesset members, prominent candidates, spokespeople, and senior advisors from the participating parties.

The parties stated that the teams have already begun their work, underscoring their deep commitment to collaboration for electoral success and the formation of the next government.
