Opposition Parties Form Joint Teams for Election and Post-Election Governance

Twenty-eight days before the upcoming elections, the "Change Bloc" parties announced the formation of three joint working teams. This move is part of their preparation for the elections and the establishment of a shared government afterward. The teams will focus on increasing voter turnout, developing foundational principles and a 100-day plan for a future government, and coordinating media efforts.

The initiative follows a meeting of the parties' leaders held the previous Saturday. In a joint statement, the parties indicated that the teams aim to "strengthen cooperation, jointly prepare for victory in the elections, and establish a Zionist, state-oriented government." The first team will concentrate on boosting voter turnout, election day preparations, and ensuring election integrity. The second team will focus on post-election planning, drafting the next government's core principles, and outlining its initial 100-day agenda. Key issues to be addressed include equal burden-sharing for national service, establishing a state commission of inquiry, limiting the prime minister's tenure, and advancing a constitution for Israel. The third team will handle media coordination and combatting "false information and smear campaigns."

According to the parties, all three teams have already begun their work. Their objective is to consolidate joint efforts leading up to the election and to formulate the steps that will be advanced in the initial days of the government they intend to form. The parties emphasized that this process demonstrates their leaders' "deep commitment to working together and in coordination" with the goal of achieving "victory in the elections and the establishment of the next government."
