Israel Fuel Prices to Rise by 52 Agorot in October
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure's Fuel and Gas Administration announced that fuel prices in Israel will increase starting October 1, 2026. The maximum price for a liter of 95-octane unleaded gasoline at self-service stations will rise by 52 agorot to 8.27 shekels per liter. The surcharge for full service will remain unchanged at 26 agorot per liter.
The administration attributed the price hike to global energy market developments, including a roughly 13% increase in international gasoline prices driven by rising global oil costs and ongoing concerns about oil supply disruptions. Additionally, a nearly 3% strengthening of the dollar against the shekel contributed to the increased fuel cost in Israel.
The new price incorporates the reversal of a 50 agorot per liter excise tax reduction that was in effect from September 7 until the end of October 2026.
