Driver Dies After Car Collides With Horse on Highway 65
A man, approximately 30 years old, was killed early Monday morning in a severe traffic accident on Highway 65, near the town of Ilabun and the Tzaphet Natufa interchange. His private vehicle collided with a horse that had entered the roadway.
Emergency services received the initial report at 5:57 AM and a large contingent of responders was dispatched to the scene. MDA paramedics Farid Othman and senior medic Moran Abu Shkara found the driver inside his vehicle, unconscious, with no pulse or respiration, and suffering from severe injuries. After medical assessments at the scene, the teams were forced to pronounce him dead.
Northern District Police officers and traffic accident investigators arrived at the scene. They began directing traffic on the highway and launched an official investigation into the circumstances of the fatal collision. The identity of the driver has not yet been officially released.
