Driver Killed in Collision With Horse on Northern Highway
A driver, approximately 30 years old, was killed early Tuesday morning when his vehicle collided with a horse on Highway 65 near the town of Ilabun in the Galilee region. Emergency medical services pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency response center received a report of the severe accident at 5:57 AM. Responders arriving at the location found the driver inside his vehicle with critical injuries, unconscious, and without pulse or respiration. Despite their efforts, medical personnel determined his injuries were too severe and pronounced him deceased.
Police investigators from the Northern District, including traffic accident examiners, arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
