Reality Star Erez Iscov Returns to Football Field After Acquiring Team

Erez Iscov, a former professional footballer and reality television personality from "HaAch HaGadol" (Big Brother), is making a significant comeback in the sports world. In July, Iscov finalized the purchase of Maccabi Hasharon Netanya, a team competing in Liga Gimel, Israel's fifth tier of football. On Monday evening, Iscov will return to playing football for the first time in 18 months, stepping onto the field he now owns.

His return to the game will be accompanied by a newly appointed professional staff, including former player Shlomi Dahan as the team's coach. Maccabi Hasharon Netanya has started their season strongly in the Shomron district of Liga Gimel, with a decisive 6-0 victory over Maccabi Oranit in their opening match. They are set to face Hapoel Oranit, who lost their first game 2-1, with Iscov now participating in the upcoming fixture.

Iscov's journey, from acquiring the club to his return as a player, is being documented for a new docu-reality series titled "The Iscovs," scheduled to air on HOT. Iscov, who had previously retired from active play, decided to reignite his passion for the sport by purchasing Maccabi Hasharon Netanya for an estimated one million shekels.
