Hamas Condemns Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir Over Terrorist Prisoner Video
Hamas issued a condemnation against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir following a video showing the minister speaking with Hamas terrorist Hassan Salameh in prison. In the video, Ben-Gvir stated he would seek the execution of "murderous terrorists" if appointed Defense Minister. Hamas claimed the video threatened Salameh's life and those of other prisoners, vowing to work for their release by "all means."
The terror group also issued a threatening message towards Ben-Gvir, stating his fate would mirror that of "war criminals." Ben-Gvir dismissed Hamas's criticism, stating, "When Hamas condemns me, I know I am on the right path." He identified Salameh as a senior Hamas figure serving multiple life sentences for his role in deadly terror attacks.
Ben-Gvir asserted that prisoners would receive only the legal minimum and nothing more. "Hamas has a good reason to be under pressure," he stated, adding, "Not only will I not be deterred by their condemnations and threats, I will continue to lead a firm hand against terrorists in prisons and advance the implementation of the death penalty law for terrorists."
He concluded, "If Hamas is screaming, it means they understand well that the rules have changed, and the owner of the house has gone mad."
