Ben-Gvir: Hamas Outrage Means Terrorists Understand Rules Have Changed

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir responded to a condemnation issued by Hamas regarding a video showing him alongside terrorist Hassan Salameh, who is serving multiple life sentences for his role in deadly attacks. Ben-Gvir stated that Hamas's condemnation indicates he is on the right path, asserting that the terror group, responsible for atrocities including murder, rape, and kidnapping, should not lecture him on morality. He emphasized that during his tenure, the era of terrorists receiving special treatment in prisons has ended, and they will now receive only the legal minimum.

Ben-Gvir affirmed his intention to continue his policy towards security prisoners and to advance legislation for the death penalty for terrorists. He declared that he will not be deterred by condemnations or threats, vowing to maintain a firm stance against terrorists in prisons and to push for the implementation of the death penalty law.

Concluding his remarks, Ben-Gvir said, "If Hamas is crying out, it means they understand well that the rules have changed, and the landlord has gone mad."
