Fatal Road Accident Claims One Life, Injures Two on Highway 232

A man in his 30s was killed Monday morning in a severe two-vehicle collision on Highway 232, near the Ibim Junction. Emergency medical services pronounced the man dead at the scene. Two other men, both in their 40s, sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Barzilai Hospital.

Paramedics described finding a "crushed vehicle" with significant damage, trapping the deceased victim who was unconscious with severe injuries. "Despite rescue efforts, his injuries were too severe, and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead," stated MDA paramedics Ariel Elbaz and Adam Gustavo. They also treated and evacuated the two moderately injured men.

United Hatzalah volunteers reported a "difficult accident scene" involving two vehicles. They provided medical treatment to two men, aged 35, who were injured in moderate and light conditions, in addition to confirming the death of the 30-year-old man.

Firefighters from the Ashkelon station responded to a burning vehicle at the scene, with one person trapped inside. Firefighters used specialized equipment to extinguish the blaze and perform the rescue.
