A man in his 30s was killed and two others were moderately injured in a severe two-vehicle collision on Route 232 near the Ibim Junction in southern Israel on Monday. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find one of the vehicles engulfed in flames with the driver trapped inside. Rescue teams used hydraulic tools to extract the trapped man from the burning car while simultaneously working to extinguish the fire and secure the area.

After the man was extricated, Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. He sustained severe, multi-system trauma. Two other men, both in their 40s, suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Barzilai Hospital.

MDA paramedics Ariel Elbaz and Adam Gustavo described the scene, stating, "We saw a crushed vehicle with significant body damage and inside it, a man in his 30s trapped, unconscious, without pulse or breathing, with very severe injuries to his body. During the rescue operations, we performed medical checks, but unfortunately, his injuries were significant, and we could only pronounce him dead. Simultaneously, we treated and evacuated two men who were moderately injured to the hospital."
