Suspect Arrested Minutes After Firing at Home and Car in Northern Israel
Israeli police arrested a 41-year-old resident of Arraba in the Galilee region on Sunday on suspicion of firing at a home and a vehicle within the town. The suspect was apprehended just minutes after the incident while attempting to hide in a local school. During a search of the area near the conflict parties' residences, police discovered a concealed handgun and magazines.
Initial investigation revealed the shooting stemmed from a local dispute. The primary suspect was taken for further questioning at the police station. A second suspect, a 23-year-old also from Arraba, was arrested at his home. Both suspects have since been released under restrictive conditions as the investigation continues.
All evidence collected, including the firearm and ammunition, has been transferred to the Israel Police forensics laboratories for further analysis.
