Suspect Arrested Hiding in School After Galilee Shooting
Police in northern Israel apprehended a suspect hiding inside a school in the town of Arraba, in the Galilee, shortly after a shooting incident. The shooting, which occurred over the weekend, targeted a home and a vehicle but resulted in no injuries. Responding officers from the Northern District and the Border Police (Magav) initiated an investigation, which indicated the shooting stemmed from a local dispute.
During searches in the area where the other party involved in the dispute resided, officers spotted an individual attempting to flee from within a school compound. They apprehended the 41-year-old suspect, a resident of Arraba, who was taken for questioning. A second suspect, a 23-year-old Arraba resident, was arrested at his home. A search near the school uncovered a hidden handgun with two magazines.
All evidence, including the firearm and magazines, was transferred for forensic analysis. Both suspects were released under restrictive conditions, and the investigation is ongoing.
