National Insurance Announces October 2026 Payouts and Deadlines
The National Insurance Institute has released the payment schedule and reporting deadlines for October 2026. Unlike September, which saw shifts due to holidays, October's payments will revert to their regular dates.
Recipients of unemployment benefits and income support will be the first to receive their payments on Monday, October 12. Shortly after, on Tuesday, October 20, child benefits will be disbursed. The base amount for the first child is approximately 169 NIS.
The main payment date for long-term benefits, including general disability, old-age pensions, survivors' benefits, long-term care, and benefits for disabled children, is set for Wednesday, October 28. In 2026, the full general disability pension for an individual is 4,711 NIS, while the basic old-age pension is 1,838 NIS, potentially reaching up to 2,757 NIS with maximum seniority additions.
In addition to payment dates, a significant deadline for employers, self-employed individuals, and non-workers is Thursday, October 15. This is the date by which national insurance and health insurance contributions must be reported and paid, including the quarterly payment for those not employed. It is advised to organize reporting and payments accordingly to meet the deadline.
