Israel National Insurance Institute Resumes Regular Payment Schedule in October

The National Insurance Institute of Israel has announced its payment schedule for October 2026, returning to its standard dates after adjustments made in September due to holidays. The October schedule will see payments issued on their usual days.

Recipients of unemployment benefits and minimum income support will be the first to receive their monthly payments on Monday, October 12. Subsequently, child benefits will be disbursed on Tuesday, October 20. The current basic amount for a child's benefit is approximately 169 shekels.

The primary payment date for long-term benefits, including those for general disability, the elderly, survivors, care allowances, and payments for disabled children, is set for Wednesday, October 28. In 2026, the full general disability benefit for an individual is 4,711 shekels, while the basic old-age pension for an individual is 1,838 shekels, potentially reaching about 2,757 shekels with maximum seniority additions.

In addition to payment dates, October 15 marks an important deadline for employers, self-employed individuals, and the unemployed to submit reports and make mandatory payments to the National Insurance Institute and for health insurance. For those not employed, this date also includes a mandatory quarterly payment. The Institute advises all payers to prepare their reports and payments in advance to meet the deadline.

Overall, the October schedule normalizes after September's holiday-induced changes, with payments on the 12th, 20th, and 28th, and a reporting and payment deadline on the 15th.
