New Neighborhood Inaugurated in West Samaria Settlement

A new neighborhood, "Kerem Hillel," was inaugurated in the settlement of Migdalim in eastern Samaria during the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday. The neighborhood, located near the Noaf Avi outpost, was established in memory of IDF soldier Sergeant Major Hillel Dinar, who fell in battles in Beit Hanoun, Gaza. Approximately 15 families have already settled in the new neighborhood.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Dinar family, the head of the Migdalim settlement committee, Yaakov Peretz, residents, and their children. Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, cut the ribbon and recited the blessing "Matziv Gvul Almana" (Establishing a Widow's Border) with the families and residents. Dagan stated that "the Land of Israel without the people of Israel is like a broken family, like a widow," and that "when the people of Israel return to the Land of Israel and establish new settlements, the family is reunited." He also outlined plans for the region's development, asserting that "this area, connecting Samaria to the Jordan Valley, is becoming a significant and central part of the State of Israel." Dagan expressed a vision of Migdalim becoming a regional council and reaching a population of one million Jews in Samaria, dedicating the new neighborhood to the memory of the fallen soldier.

Hadas Madmon, a representative of the settlement, welcomed the new families, stating that "Migdalim is expanding its borders thanks to pioneering families who chose to come, build, and add another layer to this home." She added that the new neighborhood would be strong in its values and serve as a spearhead for further settlement activity in the region. Hillel Dinar's brother, Elyashiv, also spoke, sharing that his family finds solace in settling the land in memory of their fallen relative.

In related news, thousands are expected to participate in the "Samaria March" on Wednesday. The march will take place in the northern Samaria area, passing through the communities of Kedumim, Ginot Shomron, and Nofim, via the Gilboa crossing. Organizers have planned a nature trail, performances, activity stations, and attractions for families.
