New Neighborhood Inaugurated in Migdalim Settlement

A new neighborhood, "Kerem Hillel," was inaugurated in the Migdalim settlement in eastern Samaria during the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday. The neighborhood was established in memory of IDF soldier Sergeant Major Hillel Dinar, who fell in combat in Gaza. Approximately 15 pioneering families who have settled there, along with Dinar's family and local leaders, attended the festive inauguration ceremony.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, officiated the ribbon-cutting and delivered remarks emphasizing the strategic importance of the settlement expansion. He stated that the area, connecting Samaria and the Jordan Valley, is becoming a significant part of Israel and expressed a vision of reaching one million Jewish residents in Samaria. Dagan highlighted that the new neighborhood honors the fallen soldier's sacrifice, enabling Jewish pride and settlement in the land.

Hadas Madmon, a representative of the settlement, welcomed the new families, describing their arrival as a fulfillment of prophecy and a strengthening of the community. She emphasized that the new neighborhood would be a vanguard for further settlement activities in the region. Dinar's brother, Elyashiv, also spoke, sharing that his family finds solace in contributing to the settlement of the land in his brother's memory.

Dagan thanked the pioneering families for their commitment and expressed optimism for future growth and development.
