New Israeli Settlement Established in Memory of Slain Settler

A new Israeli settlement, "Metzukei Eretz," has been established in the West Bank, fulfilling the dream of Nachman Shmuel Mordoff, who was killed in a shooting attack near the settlement of Eli four years ago. His mother, Ora Mordoff, stated that the establishment of the settlement is deeply personal, connecting her to her son and his aspirations.

According to Ora, Nachman had a deep connection to the area, frequently surveying the land and recognizing its strategic importance. He envisioned settling there and actively worked towards this goal in the two years leading up to his death. "Before four years ago, who would have even dreamed of this? But you, Nachman, you dreamed," she said, addressing her son.

Following Nachman's murder, his friends continued his work, establishing a temporary outpost with a tent and sheep in the days following his death. Despite facing evictions, they persisted in their efforts to establish a permanent presence in the location Nachman had envisioned. Ora expressed gratitude for the establishment of Metzukei Eretz, calling it an "exciting strategic point."

Ora Mordoff concluded by asking her son's spirit to continue watching over the settlement and the Jewish people, saying, "Do not rest, my son. Continue, beloved, to act for us. Push forward and backward, activate your words and your soul for the people of Israel for eternal redemption."
