Maccabi Tel Aviv Dominates Kiryat Ata, Advances in Winner Cup

Maccabi Tel Aviv secured a decisive 109-61 victory over Kiryat Ata, advancing to the semi-finals of the Winner Cup. The team showcased strong offensive performance, hitting 14 of 28 three-point attempts. Guard J.J. Clark was a standout player, contributing 11 points and a team-high seven assists in just 19 minutes of play. Clark, who had been recovering from a hamstring injury sustained earlier in September, also added three steals.

Clark played as a point guard alongside other starters, with some key players like Yam Madar and Wade Baldwin IV receiving limited minutes or rest. This strategic rotation allowed other players to gain experience and prepare for the upcoming "double week" of games. Clark's performance is a positive sign for the team, especially after he missed the preseason due to his injury, during which his brother, TJ Clark, played with the team.

Daniel Theis, Maccabi's leading scorer, reflected on the win, emphasizing the team's need to find rhythm and consistency. Theis also drew lessons from a previous game against ASVEL, stating the team needs to play with greater intensity from the outset against strong EuroLeague opponents.
