A mayor in Italy’s Piedmont region received a death threat letter over the weekend, along with a bullet, aimed at him and members of the local Israeli community, according to a report aired Sunday on Kan 11’s "HaOlam HaYom." The community in the city includes doctors, tech workers and digital nomads who relocated to Italy after October 7.
The relocation was part of a large project called "Home," led by entrepreneur Hugo Luzzati. An Italian newspaper, Rai, reported that the letter demanded the city remove the Israelis from the area.
The message to the mayor reportedly said, "Do not cooperate, do not accept any more Israelis and Jews who come to Italy. This is the last and only warning."
